PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

FROM MEMS TO SERS

In the beginning of my research work, I had been mostly focused on development of metallization and Layer Transfer Technology for ICs and MEMS, fabrication of porous materials by wet chemistry and electrochemistry. However, in 2010, I was caught by a completely new research for me. This happened as nanomaterial designed in our lab together with scientists of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was found to be a unique tool for ultrasensitive chemical and biomedical analysis by SERS-spectroscopy. Today I am still obsessed with this research direction and completely involved in the process of fabrication, characterization and application of SERS-active substrates as well as in a comprehensive study of organic/bioorganic analytes and Raman/SERS measurements.

BRINGING RESEARCH CLOSER TO MARKET

In a course of preparing my Ph.D. thesis I took a part in developing methods implemented in industry at JSC “INTEGRAL” (Minsk, Belarus) and tested for the technology of MEMS (Rise Technology ltd., Padova, Italy) and electroporation (La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy).
In 2016, my co-workers and me were able to organize a small-scale production of radically new nanostructured materials for chemical and biomedical analysis by SERS-spectroscopy and now these materials are commercially available at BSUIR (learn more here).

PARTICIPATION AT THE CONFERENCES

I took a part at national and international scientific conferences with four invited, 14 oral and 22 poster presentations. I am a member of International advisory committee of the Nanobiophysics Conference held in Kyiv and Kharkiv, Ukraine.

2017, 2019 – member of national organizing committee of the International Conference “NANOMEETING”, Minsk, Belarus.

PROJECTS

I have an experience of a researcher, principal investigator and manager of national and international projects supported by the Ministry of Education of Belarus, Belarusian State Committee of Science and Technology, the Belarusian Foundation of Fundamental Research and EU.
