PURPOSE
An autonomous coaxial device generating atmospheric discharge plasma is designed for plasma treatment of the surface of materials at atmospheric pressure and low temperature to improve adhesive and hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties.
APPLICATION AREA
- nanotechnologies: formation of nanoparticles and nanostructured layers and coatings
- additive technology: local processing and formation of functional layers and structures
- medicine: dry sterilization of medical instruments and implants; treatment of festering wounds and skin ulcers
- aircraft and automotive industry: surface treatment of vehicle components to reduce aerodynamic drag
- industry: treatment of materials before painting and gluing
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
| Discharge power, W, more than | 40 |
| Operating pressure | atmospheric |
| Gas consumption, l/min | 1...50 |
| Gas | Ar, air, etc. |
| Type of discharge | dielectric barrier |
| Diameter of treatment area (without moving), cm2 | 1 |
ADVANTAGES
- removal of restrictions on vacuum compatibility
- reduction of capital expenditures on equipment and energy costs due to the absence of vacuum creation and maintenance systems
