ALS EXPERT MOBILE APP

PURPOSE

The application is designed to diagnose and monitor the state of the vocal function in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

ADVANTAGES

• diagnosis and monitoring of the patient's condition both directly by the doctor and by the patient independently;
• ease of use: no need to use complex technical equipment and specially equipped premises.

APPLICATION SCHEME

The research procedure is performed on the basis of the test for the extended pronunciation of the vowel "a". The voice signal is recorded by the application using the microphone built into the smartphone or the headset microphone. Next, the recording is analyzed. At the end of the processing, the calculated values of the acoustic parameters of the voice are displayed on the smartphone screen, which are further analyzed by the doctor.
