ALARM AND SAFETY SHUTDOWN SYSTEM FOR VGS2105 TURBO GENERATORS



 

 

 

 

 

 

PURPOSE

System of technological alarm and turbo generator safety shutdown VGS2105 is an autonomous unit which provides bilateral information exchange between the system unit of "Lukoml-2001" and signalling elements, protective shutdown and controls of main control room of turbine units.

 

FUNCTIONS

  • indication of the vibration control system condition (vibration control is turned on or vibration control is stopped) and the operation mode of the vibration control system (safety automation is turned on or turned off)
  • monitoring of "Lukoml-2001" vibration control system condition, whether the programme of regular fixed vibration control is running or it is stopped
  • control of the turning on and off of the indicators of switchboard signalling according to the control codes, sent from the computer and reflecting certain vibrational condition of the turbine unit
  • reading of the condition of the contact groups of switchboard units and its transfer to the computer. They reflect certain operating modes of the turbine unit or the operating mode of the vibration control system

 

CONNECTION SYSTEM

Connection to the computer (system unit) is made through the RS232 interface to the COM1 or COM2 port. The connection interface provides for galvanic isolation of the computer and the VGS 2105 device. The length of the connection cable is up to 15 m.

Connection to the units of switch signalling and protective shutdown is made through screw terminals with conductor pairs. In the direction "to the switch" ten control signals of indication and functions are output: Warning level of "4,5 mm/s"; Warning level of "7,1 mm/s"; Emergency level of "11,2 m/s"; "Low-frequency vibration", "Sudden change in vibration", "Vibration control is On"; "Malfunction of the vibration control system"; "Automatic safety is On", "Protective shutdown of the turbine unit", "Signalling is On". 

In the direction "from the switch" eight control signals of the following purpose are input: "Indication control", "Signalling clearance"; "Turn-on of the regular vibration control"; "Turn-on of the safety automation", "Turn-off of the ringing at 4,5 mm/s", "Turn-off of the ringing at 7,1 mm/s", "Self-test of operable condition of A", "Self-test of operable condition of B".
